Ingredients - 4 servings
1 big block tofu ( for about 600g )
1 tbsp sesame oil
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tbsp cornstarch
3-4 cloves garlic
1/2 inch ginger
1 bunch scallions, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 tsp chili salt
1 tbsp sesame seeds
(1) In a small bowl combine the soy sauce, water, and cornstarch.
(2) Heat oil in a large pan. Add the cubed tofu and cook it for about 10 minutes, or until golden on all sides.
(3) Add the cut ginger, cloves, scallions, and spices. Roast for a few minutes
(4) Add the soy mixture
Now all is left is to turn off the heat and enjoy your spicy tofu with your favorite side-dished. Here suggested basmati rice and creamy coconut curry.
